Tocayo roughly translates to “we are the same”. Located in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Tocayo is a Taqueria and Tequila bar. It’s a place for people to come together and share their common love of authentic Mexican cuisine while sipping on the finest Tequila.

We helped strike a balance between traditional Mexican flare and the modern aesthetic of higher-end cuisine. By working closely with the owner and chef of the restaurant, we brought the brand to life through the creation of a unique mark showcasing two birds that join to form one (this mark is also shared with Tocayo’s sister restaurant Totopo), a website, promotional materials (keychains for neighbors and a “money off” peso), and branded collateral in and outside the restaurant.
