The Carnegie Mellon, Tepper School of Business asked us to develop a design system for the new 2022 MBA viewbook. One that will engage prospective students and support their “The Intelligent Future” brand positioning.

“Online info is great: it’s interactive, current, and lets you hone in on what you need to know. But a hold-in-your-hand vision book seems appropriate for a weighty decision like choosing an MBA program.

With that in mind, we challenged Bootstrap Design Co. to give the MBA viewbook a future-facing vibe — a visual hint of The Intelligent Future. We love the clever animated cover they came up with, and the math behind it appeals to the number nerds among us.

On the cover, the technique creates alternating flashes of words. Creating the animation is pretty straightforward today — the computer does most of the work. But it can be done by hand.” ( view article )
